Cango Wildlife Ranch – Oudtshoorn
No visit to the Garden Route is complete without having visited the Cango Wildlife Ranch in Oudtshoorn.
Cango Wildlife Ranch is the oldest and largest cheetah contact centre worldwide and offers sanctuary to some of the world’s most endangered species. You will be pleasantly surprised to see the huge variety of animals.
Catering for the whole family, visitors can cuddle farmyard animals, feed wallabies and lorikeets. The Natural Encounters Programme caters for the brave hearted to get very close with a snake, cheetah, white Bengal tiger cub or 4 meter Nile crocodile.
The enticing Valley Of Ancients houses various exotic and endangered animals, including Madagascar Ring-tailed Lemur, Spotted-necked otters, Pygmy Hippos, giant flying foxes, blue duiker and Nile crocodiles, to name but a few.
Cheetahland is home to Cheetah, Bengal tiger and the rare White lion where these magnificent creatures can be seen from an elevated boardwalk.
Guided tours help ensure a good and memorable experience for all visitors, both young and old. Tours of this nature help the message of conservation come across. You realize just how vulnerability our planet is and how vital it is to protect all species for the generations to come.

Excellent restaurants, tuck shops, kiosks and a curio shop ensure visitors can get anything from food, drinks, snacks to gifts, photo’s or souvenirs. The Turtles- and Grunts Restaurant have mouthwatering food on the menu or you could simply grab a quick snack and cooldrink at Dinkumtucker, a quaint tuck shop on your way to Cheethaland.
The Curio Shop has a good selection of souvenir where you can buy a memento of your experience. Cango Wildlife Ranch is also an ideal venue for wedding- and evening functions or children's parties and has excellent barbeque- and restaurant facilities.
