Bbbee Summit Hosted
A Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) summit is being hosted on 29 May by Eden District Municipality in response to the outcomes of the Eden Growth and Development Summit.
The latter summit highlighted the need for more visible interventions relating to economic empowerment in Eden.
The Eden BBBEE summit will primarily be concerned with ways in which Eden District Municipality along with its B municipalities and its social partners can collectively contribute towards the acceleration of economic transformation in the region.
The programme starts at 08:30 for 09:00 at the Hope Centre, 4 Olympic Drive, Pacaltsdorp. RSVP to Emsabé Botha at 044 803 1315 or per e-mail: emsabe@edendm. co.za. The Summit working sessions are earmarked for local government IDP managers, policy and strategic directors, human rights managers, procurement specialists training and development officials, transformation officers, LED managers and officials, any official responsible for BBBEE in the municipality and relevant portfolio councillors as well as representatives from the business sector.
