Knysna is reeling from shock after the sudden death of well-known freelance journalist, Neil Oelofse (51) of Garden Route Media, who never missed a day of court during the mammoth Knysna cocaine trial and was strongly considering writing a book about it.

Oelofse, who was a regular contributor to several newspapars, including The Cape Times, appeared to have suffered a fatal heart attack in his sleep on Saturday night, July 14.

He leaves behind his widow, Janine Oelofse, also a journalist, and their nine-year-old son.
