Mossel Bay has been abuzz all week, as contestants from all over the Garden Route prepare for the gala event of Miss Garden Route and Klein Karoo that takes place tomorrow, 29 September at the Bravo Lounge.

The finalists were announced on Monday, 24 September.

Highly-acclaimed South African singer André Schwartz, famous for his performance of the title role in the South African production of 'Phantom of the Opera', is performing at the glitzy, grand finale of this Beauty With a Purpose Pageant.
Guests can expect to be enthralled by Swartz's performance, which will be laced with 'Phantom of the Opera' favourites, and also sporting a few favourites from the jukebox musical 'Moulin Rouge'. Swartz, with his gripping and lively stage personality, is a world class performer, having received the Naledi- and Fleur du Cap-awards for his portrayal of the Phantom.

"We are pulling out all the stops for the Miss Garden Route and Klein Karoo gala. Beautiful girls in a well-choreographed fashion spectacular, fantastic food, delectable wines and premium entertainment will make this year's finale the best yet," says the casino's Promotions Coordinator, Tryana Potgieter.

All proceeds raised from ticket sales for the gala event, as well as sponsorships and donations will be donated to four Southern Cape-based shelters for abused women and children. These include Phambili in George, Malibongwe in Oudtshoorn, Lukhanyiso in Knysna and Creating Effective Families in Mossel Bay.

Tickets to the event are R180 per person. This includes substantial food, gifts, drinks by Coca-Cola and wine from Bergwater Winery, which is a proud sponsor of the competition. Upmarket stalls will also be on the premises for those who enjoy browsing.
