Elandré Schwartz was born in Despatch in the Eastern Cape. His passion for music started at a young age and at the age of 4 he had already appeared on stage.

Elandré participated in many local song and drama competitions as a child. He was involved in choir and cultural activities and founded the drama department at his high school. Country music constantly echoed through the house and music from Johnny Cash, Barbara Ray and Charlie Pride had a lasting impression.

A year after matric Elandré moved to Cape Town to pursue a career in the arts. After posting a video online of his rendition of ‘Tougher than the rest’ in October 2016, he received over 950K views and landed a record deal with Select Music because of it.

Elandré has not stopped performing since then and his debut album: Kleindorp-Dromer has sold more than 15K copies!
