The annual Hobie 16 Nationals regatta is one of the largest and most competitive sailing class competitions in South Africa. Make your way to one of Plett’s many beautiful viewing spots to watch the country’s finest Hobie sailors fight it out for line honours on the water. 

Hobie sailing is an inclusive, family-friendly activity and all hobie sailors will be welcome to enter this event. And for those of you not yet fortunate enough to have had a taste of this kind of sailing, come down to Hobie Beach.

Hobie sailors are famously easy-going and friendly and members of the public are welcome to come down to Hobie Beach and “meet the fleet” when the boats are on the beach. Who knows, you may like it so much it may be you out their next time!
