Wilfred and Valerie welcomes and invite you to their beautifully restored Karoo house set in a country garden of Graaff Reinet. Rietjiesbos Self Catering is one of the best guesthouses in Graaff Reinet and will surprise and delight you. Valerie's attention to detail as well the tastefully decorated rooms will make you come back time and again.
The rooms lead onto the garden where you can relax or have a bbq in the shade of two majestic trees. Rietjiesbos Self Catering is a 15 minute walk from the nearest restaurants. The art galleries, museums, beautiful churches and national monuments in Graaff Reinet are also within walking distance. Your vehicles and trailers will be safe behind off-street parking.
Graaff-Reinet is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the sixth-oldest town in South Africa, after Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Simon's Town, Paarl and Swellendam. The town was the centre of a short-lived republic in the late 18th century. The town was a starting point for Great Trek groups led by Gerrit Maritz and Piet Retief and furnished large numbers of the Voortrekkers in 1835–1842.

"On my first visit to Graaff Reinet I stayed at Rietjiesbos self catering accommodation and have never stayed anywhere else since. After numerous stays it feels like another home on my way from or to my next destination. Wi-Fi, off-street parking, wonderful rooms and a great breakfast make a good package. Local restaurants, shops and galleries are within easy walking distance.".

"The decor is charming and has the personal touch of the owner- it establishes a very welcoming ambience at Rietjiesbos self catering accommodation. We did not want for a single thing - from electric blankets to luxurious crisp cotton linen and big soft pillows and extra blankets an ironing board and iron and hairdryer! Plenty of plugs to charge cellphones and laptops. The owners are friendly and very helpful. recommending an excellent local restaurant and even booking our table".
