The original Garden Route was considered to be the coastline from Mossel Bay to Plettenberg Bay. Today the South African Garden Route stretches from Tsitsikamma in the Eastern Cape to Hermanus in the Western Cape. A total coast line stretching more than 500Km. The largest cities closest to Tsitsikamma is Port Elizabeth and to Hermanus is Cape Town.
