You can give input on the proposed upgrading and development of Mossel Bay Point. A public open day will be held in the Mossel Bay Town Hall on Monday, 27 August from 15:30 to 18:30, as part of the public participation process for the finalisation of a precinct plan for the upgrading and developing the Point area into a tourism icon.
According to a news release issued by the Mossel Bay Municipality, the draft precinct plan for the upgrading of the area, as well as tourism development will be available for the public to view and give their inputs.
Representatives of the environmental consultants and other members of the project team will be at hand to answer questions.
The proposed plan includes the rerouting of the existing road near the hotel, uniform paving of the parking areas, extended pathways, uniform street furniture and lamp posts and the building of steps to link the lower parking area with the proposed stone quarry development and entrance to the St Blaize hiking trail.
