Arno Carstens Bio
Arno Carstens is a Cape Town based singer songwriter.
He has released multiple albums with a string of successful singles and awards including Best Rock Album, Best Alternative Album & Song of the Year. He’s been described as “The godfather of South African Rock” by Mail & Guardian & Sunday Times have hailed him as “One of the most prolific songwriters and performers of our time”.
Arno is also a fine artist. He has been exhibiting his fine art in and around South Africa since his first solo exhibition in 2012 and has collaborated over the years with Lionel Smit, Beezy Bailey and the late Bared de Wet. Arno will be exhibiting a selection of his artworks at The George Arts Theatre including original oils and prints which will be available for purchase at the event.
