About The Bands!

The Groove Missionaries
The Groove Missionaries are a dynamic funk, soul, and party band from Cape Town, made up of some of the country's top local session musicians. Staying true to the funk - they'll cycle through decades of classic hits, soul, and party anthems!

The Congo Cowboys
Banjos and benga, pedal-steel ache and Lingala soul. Born of the road and refined on stages from Cape Town to festival fields across Europe, their live show is the thing people can't stop describing, part barn dance, part Kinshasa block party, all groove. Bluegrass, country and blues classics reimagined and spiced with African rhythm; originals that sound like nowhere else. The Congo Cowboys are what happens when Congolese soukous and kwassa kwassa swagger straight into a honky-tonk: a band that wears cowboy hats and African wax-print like they were always meant to be cut from the same cloth.
