Carpe Musicam! is at present a community-based orchestra of 32 members. Our repertoire for this event will be themed on celebrating our fifth birthday, life, the outdoors and everything that goes with the retreat of the COVID-19 virus and the opening up of our lives once again.

The music is light music hits such as In the Mood, Wonderful World, St. Elmo's Fire, Yellow Submarine, Blue Moon, la Cumparsita, a Sinatra hit medley - nothing heavy or hard to listen to...

It will be the perfect occasion to enjoy a few afternoon hours in the Garden while enjoying good, fun music and the company of friends and family and tucking into your picnic hamper, liquid or otherwise!

R50 for adults
Free to Scholars

Please bring your own chairs, blanket and picnic basket.

We expect that distancing regulations will still be in place and that audience members will need to keep a fair space between each other, but we are still hoping that at least 200-300 people will enjoy our music with us
