GREF Climate Change and Environmental Management Indaba

Although climate change is real and already impacts severely on the global community it remains a complex matter for communities to understand. The Garden Route Environmental Forum (GREF) through the Annual Climate Change and Environmental Management Indaba wishes to continue its efforts to share knowledge with stakeholders and policymakers.

The 2024 Indaba will be co-hosted by the Nelson Mandela University, The Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve and the Garden Route Biosphere Reserve.

The theme “Resilience in action: Building Sustainable Communities amid a changing climate” emphasises the proactive approach communities can take to adapt and thrive in the face of climate change. It suggests a focus not only on understanding the impacts but also on taking tangible steps towards resilience and sustainability.

The Indaba explores various aspects such as governmental and community-driven initiatives, innovative solutions, policy frameworks, and the importance of collaboration across sectors.

GREF is looking forward to your participation and attendance at the 2024 Indaba.
