The Lions Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge is a 100km off road race from UNIONDALE to KNYSNA via the Prince Alfred's Pass. The route is scenic, challenging and riders are encouraged to train sufficiently for this event in order to maximise the enjoyment of the experience.

The Lions Karoo to Coast welcomes MTB, Gravel and E-Bikes, with Prize Winning Categories for all in 2024.

With E-Bike Entries tripling in 2023, the event now offers a FREE battery swop service and podium places for the top three ladies and men on E-Bikes!

Gravel bikes will start in the usual seeded bunches - BUT there will be a separate generous prize money and prodium places for the top 3 Gravel Bikes.

The 2024 Entry Cost is R 780.00 Entries include dinner in Uniondale. All proceeds go to the Lions of Knysna and Uniondale. Only 4500 entries will be available for the 2024 event. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

The event is owned by the Lions Clubs of Uniondale and Knysna and all proceeds from the event go to Sightfirst, the South African Guide Dog Association and other urgent needs in the community.
