Join Peter, Wendy, Hook and a sad old croc on their adventures in wonderland. Our pirates will curl your blood, our fairies will tickle your fancy and Peter Pan and the lost children will carry the story forward with great skill and enthusiasm.
This year Peter Pan: The Panto of Epic Adventures in Neverland has a wonderful cast of 28 very talented children and adults. It is directed by Heather Stead, who previously directed Robin Hood in 2005, and who has a wealth of experience in the world of drama. Assistant director is Xolisa Mtshiselwa who has directed 30min adapted plays for the Schools Shakespeare Festival such as Romeo and Juliet in isiXhosa, The Tempest and Macbeth. We have been very lucky to have Megan Oates keeping our dancers in great form who choreographed all the dance numbers. Thanks to Alf and Peter from the George Woodworkers, Pat Savage and our team of painters who have built the set and Sevi for the wonderful work of projections. Hartland TV has made our video of the children flying… Such excitement for the flyers to be shot flying in a real film studio!!
The most exciting part is seeing the growth and confidence develop in the young actors. Their energy on stage is wonderful and this is going to be a show not to miss! Don’t forget to book your tickets at Computicket or at the Theatre Office. The show runs from 5 to 15 December and tickets range in price from R60 kids to R80 members/R90 pensioners to R120 adults.
