The NVT would like to invite you to join us for the annual World Clean-up Day with a beach and river clean-up from Central beach, Plettenberg bay.

Our coastline plays a vital role for many in the local community, sadly this is threatened through unsustainable fishing practices, inconsiderate behaviour and views for our oceans, and pollution.

The ocean is a major food source across the globe and acts as the lungs of our Earth. The purpose of World Clean-up Day is to inspire change for a healthy and cleaner environment and to create awareness and take action to alleviate the pressures of litter and pollution on the world's oceans.

We are only as healthy as our planet and we need to think of ways to help the planet today and protect it for tomorrow. World Clean-up Day is celebrated with clean-up initiatives across the world. This is the fifth World Clean-up Day celebrated in over 160 countries across the World. This event is for each of us to take the day and make some small impact in cleaning and caring for our planet.

Join NVT on the 17th of September 2022 in celebrating our coastline during our annual World Clean-up Day Event on Central beach, Plettenberg Bay.
